a success! The LA office was filled with 20+ guests from the interaction design
community. It was a great opportunity for us to showcase the Surface demos
(Wine bar & Snowboard) to a group of creatives and seek out talent as well.
Andrew Whiddett and John O’Keefe presented for almost an hour. Andrew covered
why to use Surface, the design challenges, gestures, and physics. John did a
deep-dive on the design aspects (wireframe, motion studies).

After the presentation, Andrew showed the demos. I heard
lots of “oohs” and “aahs”, suffice to say, most (if not all) were impressed. So
impressed that we had to start putting chairs away to signal the end of the
event. Otherwise, I think it would have lasted until midnight! It was exciting
to see the same response I had when I first saw the demos myself. Andrew, John,
and Jason were constantly surrounded by guests eager to ask questions. It
solidifies that we have such a talented team that create amazing applications …
I’m glad to be part of it. Looking forward to hopefully sponsoring and/or
hosting another event in the future.

In case you missed Andrew’s demo presentation, make sure you
check it out! Surface - Wine Bar &
Snowboard Demo

We are eager to be able to show off more of our Surface work
in the future… stay tuned!
